What is your favorite shoot 'em up classic?

Aero fighters was perhaps my choice when having to pick an arcade to play with the few coins I had when I was a child. The good thing with today's technology, the game is online for free now.

While each hero has their own story and legacy to fight for, they all have to face an enemy who threatens humanity.
