When considering all the factors that make Russia strong, many people are blindfolded with the strategy Putin is using. Seems like a perfect storm that allows communism to thrive. Some consider Putin's gold standard a smart move, a gram of gold is equal to 5000 rubles he claims.
Then, let us use freedom of speech, and discuss how this is affecting you. If I were to live in Russia, most likely I would be under persecution right now, and unable to share my point of view alike millions others. Usually, communist parties silence out the opposition by imprisioning them or by silenlty killing them. Long live freedom of speech, long live the free world from a communist tyrant. Is the billions against the millions.
A smart move in the short run, prior world investors take a stance against Putin. Just by describing his actions alone, you could read his next move. After witnessing how gold has been playing a part in this new world economics, this new world economy does run on gold and oil. Perhaps gasoline could easily be replaced by Hydrogen, inexpensively, but Gold? On this day, gold is used on almost every electronic device that has a motherboard and a chip.
What Putin did was read how investors find liquidity in times of war by investing in gold. Then, to regain strength from crippled USSR, Putin decided to invade Ukraine. This is a systematic move in which the gold standard was the cherry on top of the cake for Putin. Back in 2022, Putin claimed 5000 rubbles equals a gram of gold, and put that into action. He ilegally invaded Ukraine, disrupted the global economy and now he takes real gold for payment. Now, at the same time investors make the value of gold rise up when seeking for a safehaven. Unfortunatelly this only gives strength to Putin.
I am not saying gold is not valuable, yet imagine gold at 1600 USD an ounce? Putin's strategy would crumble. Technology would be cheaper, Putin's economy would cripple, and perhaps his strategy would fold. I mean, you could see already what he has done with Ukraine. Looking at the war taking place right now, Putin has completely disregarded the human rights of the Ukrainian people. This is not the first time the Ukrainians where slaugtered by the Russians, from 1932 to 1933 over 4 million Ukrainians were killed.
People should not trust someone like Putin in any way, sabotage is one of his primary weapons. Lowering the price of gold would indeed cripple Putin's Russia. If the world would like to continue a free world from harmful communism, then the value of gold has to go down over 20%. This would weaken Putin's Russia, and would strengthen the global economy due to a lower cost to access new technology.
